Avatars and Spokespersons all at once
If you are an English teacher and bored of just teaching in your own country you can consult the American Tesol Insitute.
It offers worldwide programs for teachers who want to teach abroad. Whether it is Spain, Brazil, Germany or Japan, you can decide where you want to go.
On the institute’s website you are informed about the various programs by an online avatar. The computer generated woman does not only almost look like a real person, she also talks to you, moving her head, eyes and mouth.
This feature is continued on the “Tesol World” page, but this time the avatar is male. He seems to look even more real than the woman and tells you about all the different countries you can go to and how the program works. The only deficit is his voice, which still sounds too robotic.
However, in case you want to listen to a real life spokesperson just click on careers, where a real spokeswoman greets you and gives you information about your career opportunities at American Tesol.
This website awaits you with a variety of interactive features and the mixture between real persons and avatars is a perfect success.
