Redesign - Duden Uses Footage of People

A virtual library stuffed with animated people
The German blibliographic institute Duden has relaunched its website and integrated several brand new features.
When entering the website you face a virtual library, which is peopled with keyed film elements.
The different scenes bring the website to life; you can see a couple picking a book from the shelves, a young girl reading a picture book on the floor, or people relaxing on a couch in the background.
As soon as you click on “Animation starten” - start animation in the right corner, the film elements start to move. The sequences have an average length of one minute, which is actually unusually long for a footage sequence.
Besides some minor mistakes, like the little girl’s see-through book, the Duden website is now more interactive and livelier than ever.
